I have been on stage since the tender age of four, when I sang "Silent Night" at a church concert with my mom tearin' up lead guitar for backup. I grew up in a very art-o-centric household, with art supplies and musical instruments available for my every whim. As a munchkin, I always adored musical theatre, which adds to my love of Rocky.

My first experience with Rocky started way before I ever stepped foot in the Beach Theatre. One Saturday, back in the days of elementary school, with no cable television, and the UPN Saturday movie my only escape, a trailer flashed across the screen. "A cult classic from the 70's-- The Rocky Horror Picture Show!" the Mr. Moviephone voice chimed. Quite confused and curious, I turned to my church-lady mom. Before I could ask her anything, she exclaimed, "Oh I love that movie! I used to go see it every weekend when I was a kid!" I didn't quite understand the whole concept of going to see a movie every weekend, and conveniently, she forgot to mention the whole screaming obscenities, and throwing randomness at every show. Unfortunately, I was only able to watch "Science Fiction" and then our power went out.

It wasn't until quite later that I saw the movie in it's entirety. This time, I watched it with my overly Catholic grandparents, and my insanely conservative father. Rocky is a very strange phenomenon concerning my family, especially my dad's side. Beyond a shadow of a doubt, Pokemon and Harry Potter are from the Devil, but Rocky Horror is just swell. However, even from watching the whole movie, I still couldn't understand what the big deal was. It was the worst movie I had ever seen! I wouldn't really comprehend the anomaly that is Rocky until my first show at the theater.

Surprisingly, my virgin ears and eyes did not bleed, and I fell in love with the show-- a sensation I can not explain. There I was, watching the transvestites sing, and I knew I had to be a part of it. Sadly, reality set in...I was only 12! There was no way my mom would let me join cast, and, I didn't know anybody on cast. But as the years flew by, I finally made some connections and started my Rocky career as a props bitch. Eventually, I worked up to performing status, but then had to take an unexpected 3 month sabbatical. I came back to the cast as the Larger than Life make-up bitch, and now have regained my performing status as Trixie! I couldn't be happier! I'm so glad to finally be a part of such a great cast, and I can add it to my theatrical resume!
