Beach Night is always one of our biggest theme nights of the year! People love this one because it is one of the easiest shows to participate in. Everyone has beach or Hawaiian clothing, whether it is a bikini, a one-piece, swim trunks, floaties/water wings, flip flops, a grass skirt, a coocnut bra, a straw hat, a sarong, or anything else you can come up with for this theme. You can bring a beach towel to drap over your seat. We'll have beach balls to play with before the show. We might even get a conga line going at some point.

Ever heard of "Christmas in July?" Well, in spite of our somewhat offensive nature, we decided to be PC with this theme night and silly at the same time. There are a variety of ways to participate in this one... you could wear a Santa/elf/snowman/snowflake/reindeer costume, a costume representing another culture's winter holiday, or you could just say 'screw it' and wear something unrelated, but funny, like a banana costume.

Hooray! The long awaited "Cartoon Night" is finally here on August 15th! You can be ANY cartoon character you want to be, whether it is a current one (Simpsons, Family Guy, South Park), an aged one (Beavis and Butthead, Who Framed Roger Rabbit?), or a classic (Looney Tunes, Rocky and Bullwinkle). These costumes might be hard to put together, so you might want to start working on your costumes now. This has the promise to be one of our most awesome theme nights!

MTV IS MAKING A NEW ROCKY HORROR MOVIE?

The news has come out in the last week that there will be a new movie of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" created for TV by MTV, hopefully set to be released around Halloween 2009. From Variety, "Lou Adler, exec producer of the original film, is partnering with BermanBraun and Fox Television Studios on the new rendition. [The] Two-hour remake will use the original screenplay by Jim Sharman and Richard O’Brien but may also include music not featured in the original." (Info from MovieBlog.com). Although it won't be the same, it will certainly be interesting and we can't wait to see it!

SomethingPositive.net is a massively popular web comic that gets about a gazillion hits a day. In September 2005, the web comic writer, Randy, made an awesome Rocky Horror logo with our cast name on it and had it on his main page for ages! The last time we checked, the logo isn't on the main page anymore, but we're linked to in the "SP Friends" cateory on the left hand column of the main page. Our own Mango is a friend of the writer and set that up for us. Sweet!
